He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy F. Shields and Maxine McWhorter Shields. He is survived by: his son Daniel Shields (Jean Meadows); and his siblings, Ron Shields, Pamela Van-Nostrand (Rick) and Barbara Hayes (Travis). He is also survived by dog "Bear" and many nieces and nephews and treasured friends.
