He is survived by: his wife Katherine Ferrier Lester; his children, Susan Lester of Birmingham, Richard Lester III (Lori) of Huntsville, Dr. Patricia Lester (David Trend) of Los Angeles, CA and Laura Lester (Dennis Madsen) of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Christine Lester Harpole, Katherine Lester Mooty, Rachel Lester-Trend, Jacob Lester-Trend and Adlai Lester-Madsen; and his great grandchildren, Jack Harpole, Lillie Harpole and Miller Mooty.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Valley United Methodist Church, Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theater, or Community Ballet Association of Huntsville.
