He is survived by: his wife Eveline McGowan (Lynn); his daughter Heather Lynn Armstrong; his brothers, Wayne Armstrong of Fayette, AL and James Armstrong of Athens, AL; and his aunts, Martha Black of Cullman, AL, Ellen McKee of Hayden, AL and Helen Mitchell of Adamsville, AL.. He is also survived by three nephews, one niece and several great nephews and nieces.
