He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Pruitt, Sr. and Linda Socha; his former wife Gay Ramsay-Pruitt; his sister-in-law Barbara Holley; and his parents-in-law, AC and JoAnn Bobo.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his daughters, Naomi Emery (Mark) of Murfreesboro, TN and Rhiannon Pruitt of Lisbon, Portugal; his grandchildren, Tristan and Autumn Emery; his siblings, Lucinda Finley, Yvonne Mills (David) and Bobby; his siblings-in-law, Joelene Bobo and Tommy Holley; and his pet Wesson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Odom Cemetery.

“I was saddened to hear of Roy’s passing. We worked together for NAVFAC MIDLANT at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth VA for several years. Roy was very good a number of trades, particularly carpentry. There are many examples of his work through the shops and work vehicles, as well as throughout the Naval hospital. Roy also had a great sense of humor and was a skilled musician. He is sorely missed. Condolences to his family and friends.”
