He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel S. Rogers, Sr. and Sally Lucille Pittman; his wife Martha Sue Rogers of Huntsville; his sons, Michael, David, Doug and Jeff; and his sister Lillian Berry. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either Agape of North Alabama or the American Cancer Society.
