She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Jean and Ray Lawson; her husband Bobby Lee Vernon; her children, Bobbie Jean Vernon and Barry L. Vernon; and her grandson Shawn Thomas.

She is survived by: her son Shawn Vernon (Cindy); her siblings, Lisa Lawson, Saundra Davis (David), Charlotte Wortham, Tony Lawson and Brown Lawson; and her sister-in-law Judy Simmons. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.

The family requests no flowers be sent.
