He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Frakes and Raymond Frakes; and his brother Jimmy. He is survived by: his wife Debby Frakes; his children, Amanda Aritas (Joey), Jason R. Frakes (Stephanie) and Clint Hovis (Britney); his grandchildren, Justice, Kendyl Jack Aritas, Carter Lirken Frakes and Huntley Blair Hovis; his brother Michael Frakes (Lisa); his nephew Zach Frakes; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hatley and Harris; his stepmother Marie Frakes; and his stepsiblings, Linda Sheffield, Sharron Hobbs and Roger Overcast.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
