She was predeceased by: her parents, Cordelia Holstun Roton and Herbert Carl "Bummie" Roton. She is survived by: her friend Ann Williams Arant; her husband William Reeves "Bill" Johnson; her sisters, Delia Scott of Wetumpka and Gwen Belle-Isle; her children, Ashley Wells of Huntsville, Anna Watts (Brant) of Birmingham and Carter Wells (Juliet) of Huntsville; her grandchildren, Lily Hendrix of Huntsville, Sydney Hendrix of Huntsville, Whitt Watts (Caroline) of Birmingham, Wynne Watts of Los Angeles, Thomas Wells of Huntsville, Charles Wells of Huntsville and Lane Wells of Huntsville; her son Bill; and also, Fred Wells, Reeves Johnson (Lorraine), Boyd Johnson (Stacey), Cathy McLain (Tom) and Tom Johnson (Beth).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (120 Greene St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joint Scholarship Endowment Fund or the Amanda Taylor Watson Graduate Award at Huntsville First United Methodist Church.
