He is survived by: his significant other Middie Yager Thompson; his children, Michael Thompson (Maria) and Laura Thompson Hutchins (David); his grandchildren, Thomas Julian, Eliza Anne and Benjamin David; his stepgrandchildren, Alexander and Katherine; his sister Dorothy Thompson Simcox; and his nieces, Margaret and Melinda.
