It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wallace Melvin Carpenter Jr. of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Arant Carpenter; his son Jeff Holland; his siblings, Bryon Carpenter and Estelle McFee; and his parents, Wallace M. Carpenter, Sr. and Alma Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, Buddy Carpenter (Tatia), Katie Smith, Susan Hayes (Bruce) and Melanie Bennett (Robert); and his grandchildren, Katherine Douglas, Alison Hill (Jeff), Katelynn Allen (Hunter), Leslie Pelt (Morgan), Maggie Hayes, Justin Burgreen (Maura), Haley Clendinen (Wesley), Taylor Carpenter, Connie Borden (Mike), Nicole Bennett and Natalie Bennett. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
