With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Schmidt (Huntsville, Alabama), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 14, 2019 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Norman. He is survived by: his brother Richard; and his children, Cindi Jean Shaver, Terri Lynne Huggins, Brian Keith Schmidt and Kyle David Schmidt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Still Serving Veterans and Calvary Alliance Church of Hiawassee.
