He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Claus and Mae Claus; his brothers, Floyd and Leroy; and his nephews, Dr. Steven Claus and Jason Douglass.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his son Richard; his grandchildren, Katie, Carolee, Samanthah, Alan, Timothy and Kaylee; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Eddie, Colton, Isaiah, Ryder, Tucker, Braylon and Stetson; and his nieces and nephews, Anita Farwell, Bonita Whitaker, Patty Beckwith, John, Blaine Douglass and Tom Thurmon.
