It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Strickland (Irvington, Alabama), born in Mullins, South Carolina, who passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edgar Van and Utheneal Williamson Strickland; his daughter Melissa Hopkins; his grandchild Courtney Strickland; and his brother Rodney Strickland.
He is survived by : his children, Richard Earl Strickland of Dillon, SC, Dillon Storm Strickland of Irvington, AL and Angela Rippy of Theodore, AL; his siblings, Timmie Strickland (Ronda) of Texas, Davis Strickland of Irvington, AL and Doris Miller (Rossie) of Lexington, SC; and his grandchildren, Summer Herring, Alex Mathews, Taylor Hopkins and Brandon Hopkins. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
