He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebra Lemuel Strong and Annie Mae Friddle Strong; and his siblings, S. L. Strong, Winston Strong, Janet Strong and Agnes Strong.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Bradford Strong; his children, John Bragg Strong and Jody Strong Page; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Page, Lanie Page, Morgan Strong, Richard Page and Bragg Strong; his siblings, Ralph Strong and Ann Strong; and his siblings' children, Margaret Wadleigh, Sandra Ladd, Pam Privett, Lemuel Strong, Earl Strong, Nick Strong, Charles Moore, Billy Hammond and Don Wadleigh.
