It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fanny Mitchem of Jackson, Alabama, born in Myrtlewood, Alabama, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Johnson and Archie Belle Palmer Johnson; her husband Roy C. Mitchem Sr.; and her siblings, Dorothy Smith of Sam Johnson, T. C, Clifton Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Gay Johnson and Cullen Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Yolande Flo Heison, Royer Mitchem and Danny Mitchem (Lynn); her grandchildren, Jessica Snyder (Justin), Brittney Tun (Ye), Eric Mitchem (Cecilia), Chelsey Mitchem and Courtney Mitchem; and her great grandchildren, Bella Tun and Elsa Wikstrand-Mitchem. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations in her memory be made to Jackson Church of Christ, Child Haven or Pilots for Christ.
