Laverne McDonald Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2020, at the age of 91, Laverne McDonald of Jackson, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis E. Lowery and Mae Bell Williamson Lowery; her husband Ruben Arnold McDonald; her children, Claude McDonald and Lanona Hartsough; and her brothers, Henry Ellis Lowery and Marshall Lowery.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Preston A. "Arnie" McDonald (Shirley), Helen Henley (John), Ellen McVay (Ralph) and Kathy Earl (Rick); her grandchildren, Angela Larrimore (Kenneth), Michael McDonald (Cindy), Matt Henley (Nicole), Jason Grider, Wyatt McVay (Daisy), Brooke Gable (Mike), Seth McDonald (Renee), Richard McVay, Andrew Henley (Becca), Crane McVay (Hannah) and Erin Earl; her great grandchildren, Whitney Reeves (Kyle), Trey Larrimore, Kymberley Gable, Hunter McDonald, Maggie McVay, Luke McVay, Collin McVay, Alex McDonald, Hammond McVay, Bo McVay and Layla Henley; her great great grandchildren, Madison Reeves and Hadley Reeves; her siblings, Wynona Pelham, Dorothy Dean and Alex Lowery; and her sisters-in-law, Loretta Lowery and Ellon Lowery. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
