She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Atchison and Mamie May of St. Stephens, Alabama.; her siblings, James Ellis Atchison and Jo'Dee Atchison Smith; her husband Edward Louis Johnson; and her son Eduardo Fernandez Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Johnson (Reyes) and Ed'Juana Johnson-Newton; her brothers, Dell Atchison and John Henry; her siblings-in-law, Richmond Earl Smith, George Johnson (Maggie), Bernard Johnson, Mayola Johnson and Thelma Johnson; her grandchildren, Joe Johnson, Serita Newton, Maranda Johnson, Phillip Johnson and Curtis Johnson (Jody); and her friends, Fannie Dixon, Rev. Dorothy Davis, Beatrice Davis and Etta Howell Sargent. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
