He was predeceased by: his father Mallie Sashinger; his wife Artherine Sashinger; his sisters, Carrie Sashington and Lucille Sashington; and his mother Mattie V. Sashington of Bigbee.
He is survived by: his siblings, Marvin Sashington (Ann) of Bigbee, Marzet Sashington of Coffeeville, Norman Sashington (Carolyn) of Bladon Springs, Earnest Sashington (Roberta) of Bladon Springs, Ethel Robinson of Pensacola, Fla., Ada Herring of Bladon Springs, Martha Franks (Wayne) of Bigbee and Etta Sashington of Bigbee; his children, Jessie Payton of Frankville, Jennet Merida of Frankville, Arthur Koen of Frankville, Robert Koen of Frankville, Carrie Dixon (Quincy) of Chicago, Jonathan White (Penny) of Chicago, Ill, Betty Boykin (Ronnie) of Montgomery, Darlean Taite (Casey) of Grove Hill and Eddie Koen (Frances) of Madison; his grandson Brandon White (Nicole) of Jackson; and his sister-in-law Oletha White of Mobile. He is also survived by other grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
