He is survived by: his former wife Norma Jean George; his son Richard Lavern Phillips; his wife Mary L Hargrove-Fox; his children, Richie L Phillips of Atlanta, Georgia and Michele Davis of Phoenix, Arizona; his stepdaughter Alisa Fox-Ervin; his grandsons, Quentin and Tyrell Griffin; his stepgrandson Christian Ervin of Buena Park, CA; his siblings, Elizabeth Joseph, Brendalyn Phillips of Texas, Gregory Phillips of Portland, Prentice Phillips of Atlanta, Nathaniel Phillips (Pam) of Hollywood, Marshall Phillips of Whistler, AL and George Phillips of Eight Mile, AL; his sister-in-law Helen Phillips of Mobile, AL; Aretha Crawford.
