He is survived by: his children, Van White (James), James Jackson (Printella), Casey Jackson (Cheryl) and Gloria (Adam) of Washington; his siblings, Annie Ruth Starks, James Calvin and Joe Bell Jr.; his nieces, Angela Bell, Regina Brown (Chester), Althea Starks White, Tangela Bell Richardson, Sangela King (Corey) and LaKesha Turner (Corey); and his friends, Sheryl, Les Whitmore, Johnny Rodgers, Sonya McKenzie, Tangi Simon and Louise Rodgers. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, eight great-nieces, five great-nephews, four great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews.
