It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine D. Sommers (Jacksonville, Alabama), who passed away on May 19, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George Howard Sommers, Sr.; her grandson Brett Cox; and her brothers, Rowan McBride, Bobby McBride, Herman McBride and Melvin McBride.
She is survived by: her children, Amber Fischer (Gary), Michelle Sommers and George Sommers, Jr.; her grandchildren, Hope Coe Pesek, John Fischer, Jim Fischer, Brandi Kay and Astra Sommers; her great grandchildren, River Coe, Tianna Moore, Dawson Kay, Alyssa Kay, Elizabeth Fischer, Madeline Fischer, Harper Fischer, Jasmine Sommers, Chase Sommers and George Sommers; and her sister Shirley Ullman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
