He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Gibson and Jeppie Gibson; and his siblings, Alma DeStefano, Burl Gibson and Baron Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Gibson; his sons, David (Donna) and Donald; his grandsons, Kevin (Morgan), Wes and Brad; his great grandchild Amelia; and his siblings, Robert (Louise) and Jane Waters. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to Bellevue Methodist Church in Gadsden, or First Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
