He is survived by: his wife Ellen Bates; his brother Lester Bates of Huggins, MO; his children, Donna Stenger (Nolan Mace) of Springfield, MO, Patti Niebruegge of Plato, MO, Lea Ann Lemoine of Plato, MO and John Bates (Jennifer) of Winter Haven, FL; his stepchildren, Michael Englebert (Jennifer) and Donna Hagadorn (Joseph); and his granddaughters, Carla Stenger Randall and Brandi Niebruegge Couch. He is also survived by Four Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins; and a host of friends.
