He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie B. Valentine and Melissa Valentine; and his siblings, R. C. Valentine and Pansy Mason. He is survived by: his wife Joan Valentine; his sister Joyce Grubbs; his children, Charles "Matthew" Valentine and Whitney Tannenbaum; his stepson Chris Quirarte; and his grandchildren, Logan, Stormie Valentine, Breeze, Bruin Tannenbaum and Molly Quirarte.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Donald's name to National Ataxia Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or American Heart Association.
