He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gotcher and Clara Davis Gotcher. He is survived by: his wife Belinda Mayhall Gotcher; his daughter Jennifer Powell; his grandchildren, Grace, Sutton and Ellison Powell; his siblings, Angela Gotcher Holt (Gary) and David Case (Stella) of Knoxville, TN; and his nieces, Jennifer Holt Zsohar (Jeffrey) of Dallas, TX and Jamie Lynn Holt Modas (Steve, Jr.).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, TN, to support cancer research.
