She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar R. Burke and Eddie Leona Burke; and her siblings, Beatrice Riley, Edna Staggs, Georgia Malone, Bonnie Warren, Bernice VonBeckman, Joe Burke and James Burke.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Gist (Debbie) of Milton, Florida and Susan Gist Clark (Steve) of Killen; her grandchildren, Amanda Danehower (Greg), Mike Gist, Caitlyn Grimme (Preston), Christopher Clark and Katie Clark; her great grandchildren, Chloe Danehower, Alexandra Gist, Eli Gist and Stella Grimme; her niece Melissa South; and her close friend Peggy Chamblin.
