He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude J. Franklin, Jr. and Shirley A. Franklin; and his daughter Jill Screws. He is survived by: his wife Marie Franklin; his daughter Mandy J. Cox (Garland); his son-in-law Robert "Fob" Screws; his grandchildren, Micah Screws, Garland Hodson Cox and Erin Screws; and his sister Linda Martinez (Leno).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kilgroe Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the St. Clair County High School Band.
