He is survived by: his close friend Gwyn Elliott of Muscle Shoals, AL; his children, Mary Ann Hampton of Muscle Shoals, Mae Frances Carter (Charles) of Louisville, Lisa Clay of Leighton, Lilia Garner (James) of Muscle Shoals, Harold Clay, Jr. of Leighton, Frankie Lee Clay of Muscle Shoals, John Carter (Mildred) of Russellville and Ozzie Carter (Anita) of Muscle Shoals; his daughter-in-law Stella Clay; his sister-in-law Edith Clay; and his sisters, Patsy Boddie and Chaney Powell of Florence.
