He was predeceased by: his children, Vickie Dianne Mims and Herbert Neal Mims; his parents, Victor Mims and Gladys Mims; and his brother Winston Neal Mims.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Brasher Mims; his daughter Barbara Louise Mims Owen (Harry); his grandsons, Harrison Neal Owen (Monica) and Louis Andrew "Drew" Owen; his great grandchild Lacey Jean Owen; and his sisters, Louise Burwell and Barbara M. Brunson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests no flowers, and memorials be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home, PO Box 681970, Prattville, AL 36068.
