He is survived by: his children, David Nichols and Susan Nichols Sims (Mike); his brother Johnny Nichols (Norma); and his grandchildren, Jason Nichols (Laura), Jacob Nichols (Megan) and Rachel "Liz" Sims Bailey (Ethan). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
