With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vera Austin McLendon in Luverne, Alabama, who passed away on September 17, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her son Earl Balluta; her parents, Steve Hobson and Mary Hobson; and her brother Nikolai Hobson. She is survived by : her boyfriend James McLendon; her children, Cecelia Balluta (Ralph), Alice Trefon, Carl Balluta (Jennifer) and Norma Davis (Robbie); her stepchildren, James "Boddie" McLendon (Michelle), Kim Foster (Stan) and Sherry Johnson (Edward); and her siblings, Aggie Alexie, Martha Trefon, Butch Hobson, Dorothy Mujica, Claudine Greene and Walter Hobson. She is also survived by 28 Grandchildren; 33 Great Grandchildren.
