It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wendy Wendell Higby of Maplesville, Alabama, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Grace Brownlee Wendell and Theodore Louis Wendell; and her siblings, Romus Wendell, Dorothy and Wendell Johnson.

She is survived by : her husband Gene Higby; her sons, Brett Phillips (Tiah) and Marc Phillips; her grandsons, Ben and Luke Phillips; her friend Janet Hughes; her siblings, Barbara Hoffman (Jack), Edward Wendell, Jim Wendell (Glenda), Ginger Waeghe (Tom) and Rod Wendell; and her pets, Lucky and Penny.
