She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Howard Washburn and Nancy Plummer Washburn; and her husband Willard Hughey. She is survived by: her children, Connie Ellis, Teresa Ham and Chuck Hughey. She is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Live Oak Cemetery (110 W Dallas Ave, Selma, AL 36701).
