She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lafayette Parks, Sr. and Ida Lee Jones Parks; her husband Edwin Lacy Buchanan; and her brothers, William Lafayette Parks, Jr. and Charles Lowery Parks.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Bryson (Charles) of Starkville, MS; her grandsons, Tom (Ashley) and Steve (Emory); her son James Buchanan (Sherri) of Kosciusko, MS; her grandchildren, Jamie, Jacob (Carlie), David Buchanan (Nicole) of Nashville, TN, Katie (Luke), Michael and Nicholas; and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Michael, Emma, Henry, Tanner and Lacy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church.
