It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Shelton (Midfield, Alabama), who passed away on April 11, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Dolphus Lee Jones and Grace Olivia Bingham Jones; her husband James Arthur Shelton; her sisters, Betty Alice Jackson, Nancy Cottrell and Paulette Vaughan; and her granddaughter Laura Beth Shelton.

She is survived by : her children, Wayne Shelton, Judy Shelton Jones (Bryant) and Johnny Shelton; her grandchildren, Megan Beard, Shelley Grace Jones and Jordan Jones; her great grandchildren, Laura Faith and Emory Beard; and her sisters, Ruth Jones and Ruby Williams.
