He was predeceased by : his mother Mable Jane Mordecai; his stepmother Lella Mae Mordecai; his brother William Leonard; his grandparents, John and Rosielee Mordecai; and his uncle Donald Ray Mordecai.
He is survived by : his father John Robert Mordecai (Betty) of Millport, AL; his children, Nate Mordecai, Jr. of Millport, AL, Anna Bella Mordecai of Millport, AL and Heather Mordecai; his siblings, Dorinda Smith and Anthony Turner; his stepsiblings, Missy Welch, Funisha Leaonard, Sandy Hayes, Jeff Leonard, Gary Hayes and Keith Hayes; and his close friend Heather Springfield. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
