With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Spencer Butler Sr. (Mobile, Alabama), who passed away on June 10, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Butler Sr. and Josephine Grammar Butler; and his siblings, Helen B. Henderson and Joseph E. Butler Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Melvina Johnson Butler of Mobile Al; his children, Spencer Louis Butler, Jr. (Thérèse) of Duncanville, TX, Bradford J. Butler of Atlanta, GA and Eugenie Christina Bettis (Jesse) of Mobile; and his sisters, Celina B. Carter, Jessie B. Sanders, Delphine Butler, Gloria B. Beverly and Marion B. Mills. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest in honor of Mr. Butler, reading his book, "When the Rooster Crows".
