He was predeceased by: his parents, D. D. Pendleton and Eldice Hooker Pendleton; his siblings, Edmund Pendleton, Betty Pendleton and Dudley Pendleton; his wife Bertha Louise Pendleton; and his son Gregory Pendleton.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Karen Pendleton; and his granddaughter Anna Pendleton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montevallo Fire Department, c/o Montevallo City Hall, 541 Main Street, Montevallo, AL 35115.
