She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Newell and Mamie Newell; her siblings, Earlene, Pauline, Gerry, Mayor C. C. "Bud" and Billy Newell; and her children, Leslie and Ricky Myrick.
She is survived by: her husband Marlon Myrick; her children, Christopher Hayes (Ashley) and Stephine Nelson (Clay); her sister Emmie McCrary; her grandchildren, Brittney Hightower, Breanne Higgins (Jonathan), Brett Nelson (Scotlyn), Deanne Davis (C. J.) and Carlie Brooke Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Aiden, Zoey, Owen, Brandon, Dmitri, Travis and Ellsie.
Visitation will be held at Peoples Chapel in Hueytown, Al on February 22nd from 10:00 to 11:00, with graveside service being held at Alabama National Cemetery (Montevallo) at 12:30. *Please note: Due to COVID restrictions with the state of Alabama.
