He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Klaiss and Francese Klaiss. He is survived by: his wife Kitturah Schomberg-Klaiss; his children, Catherine "Cathy" Klaiss and William Robert "Rob" Klaiss; and his sister Sherry Prag. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Holy Apostles Episcopal Church or to your local public library.
