Darlene Smitherman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Smitherman of Montevallo, Alabama, who passed away on March 14, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Pat Lucas and Jewel Marie Melton Lucas. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth O'Neal Smitherman; her daughters, Lynette Peete (Ben) and Pamela Leonard (Ryan); her grandchildren, Jess Peete (Frank Nicoletti), Neal Peete, Sara Peete, DJ Leonard and Izzy Leonard; and her siblings, Jenny Arthur (Delbert), Patricia Boyd (Kenneth), Donna Tonnemacher (Floyd) and Gary Lucas (Beverly). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Any invited guests should wear masks and maintain social distancing.
