He was predeceased by: his parents, David Tarver Sr. and Willie Mae Stacy Tarver; his significant other Pauline Ross; his granddaughter Dominque M. Mitchell; and his siblings, Bobbie Jean Tarver, Hattie Tarver, Diane Tarver, John Henry Jones and Frankie Lee Rutledge.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Ross-Chapman (William) of Fort Wayne, IN, Andrea Ross of Fort Wayne, IN, Catherine Ann Tarver of Baton Rouge, LA, David Ross III (Katrika) and Leon Ross (Jenny Lee) of Fort Wayne, IN; his siblings, Adele Grifin of Centreville, AL, Lillie Mae Ross of Centreville, AL, Betty Tarver (Calvin) of Centreville, AL, Billie Joe Childs (Robert) of Brent, AL and Billy Tarver (Lois) of Fort Wayne, IN; his uncle Walter Tarver of Pensacola, FL; and his aunt Auntie Curtise Stacy of Centreville, AL. He is also survived by twenty seven grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other relatives and friends.
