It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Lucas of Montevallo, Alabama, who passed away on November 1, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, T. L. Lucas and Grace Nix Lucas; his wife Gail Lucas; and his siblings, Gladys Jones, Clarice Smith, Wilma Scott, Frances Nabors, Wesley Junior "Duck" Lucas, Edna Curry, Lillian Crumpton, Nannie Amos, Mathis Lucas and Nell Hamrick.
He is survived by: his children, Bridget Hand (John) of Jemison and Randy Lucas (Ann) of Prattville; his stepson Shannon Blackburn (Shelley) of Calera; his grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Casey, Catherine, Hunter, Grady and Luke; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Evelyn and Molly.
The family request in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society or to the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Franklin's memory.
