It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Donald Gooden Sr. (Montevallo, Alabama), who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Lumpkin Gooden and Reuben Gooden; his grandchildren, James David Gooden and Baylee Beckham; his brother-in-law Aubrey Lauderdale; his mother-in-law Kathryn Hand Collier; and his sister-in-law Ansley Hand Eiland.
He is survived by: his friends, Herman Hand Jr., J. W. and Robert Hanson; his son Jay; his wife Joyce Hand Gooden; his daughter Kira Craft (Mike); his grandchildren, Brent, Allie, Ben, Michelle and Michael; his son James Donald Gooden Jr. (Debbie); his granddaughter Kelsey; his son Jonathan Marshall Gooden (Emily); his granddaughter Imani; his daughter Kathryn Anne Beckham (Tate); his granddaughter Beven; his sister Jacqueline Lauderdale; and his sibling's children, Nina Arnold, Don Lauderdale and Todd Eiland.
