She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Benton and Alice Benton; her brother Joe Benton; and her great grandchild Sophia Hollis. She is survived by: her husband Jerry D Edwards; her children, Tommy Jenkins (Tammy), Jana Davis (Keith) and Melanie Scott (Jim); her grandchildren, Jessica Johnson (Shane), Alicia Hollis (Matt), Kourtney (Chris), Zachary, Rachel, Ben, J. B., Laci and Robert; her great grandchild Gracie; and her brother Wayne Benton (Jan).
Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 12:30 PM at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.
