She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Lorene Hollis and Ira Benton Hollis; and her daughter Melanie Tyler Owen. She is survived by: her husband Billy Ray Tyler; her son Benton Wayne Tyler; her granddaughter Rachel Danielle Owen Baker; and her great grandchild Ross Tyler Baker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Peggy's memory to the Melanie Tyler Owen Memorial Scholarship fund at Delta State University.
