He is survived by: his mother Sadie Mae Burks of Chicago, IL; his children, Melvin Elton Burks of Riverside, CA, Arrissia Lynette Beaven of Perris, CA and Andrea Selena Cyprian (William James Jr.) of Spanish Fort, AL; his grandchildren, Kierra Janay Cyprian, Christina Renee Cyprian, Amare Jaleal Beaven and William James Cyprian III; his close friend Masniari Sihombing-Rogers; his siblings, Walter Burks (Bertha), Donnie Burks, Eddie Burks (Winnie), Ronnie Burks, Richard Burks, Algarian Burks (Sherry), Earlene Clemons (late Clarence), Pearlene Burks, Mary Edmonds, Gloria Carter (Alex) and Rell Burks-Murphy; and his parents-in-law, Roye Ann Burks (late Bobby) and Eddie McWilliams (late Esterlene). He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
