He is survived by: his wife Gerrie Dickerson Burns; his children, Elizabeth Burns Williams (Brad J. Williams) of Atlanta, Georgia and Thomas Phillip "Phil" Burns Jr. (Jami Brooks Burns) of Montevallo, Alabama; and his grandsons, Preston Phillip Burns and Jackson Bridges Burns of Montevallo, Alabama. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
