It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alva Hugh Maddox of Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on December 11, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alva Hugh Maddox to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher C. Maddox and Audie Freeman Maddox; and his siblings, Huron Maddox, Charles Maddox and Jean Maddox.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Roberts Maddox; his children, Robert Hugh Maddox (Jill) and Jane Hoesel (Brian); his granddaughter Hannah Maddox; his sister Carol Hartzog (Gayle); and his brothers-in-law, Wade Roberts (Dale), Truett Roberts (Deborah) and Bill Roberts (Gloria). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, there will be a private family graveside service, and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
