She was predeceased by: her husband Reece Brooks; and her siblings, Inez Schoepner, Fate Carter, Jr., James Carter, Mary Sue Parker and Gary Carter.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Baxley (Glenn) and Reece Michael Brooks (Mary Ann); her grandchildren, David Baxley (Allison), Brian Baxley (Meaghan), Joshua Brooks and Malorie Gray (Jae); and her great grandchildren, Brooks Baxley, Barrett Baxley, Bennett Baxley, Brantley Gray and Lauren Gray.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
